Education & Experience:
· You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred
· *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:
· Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC
· Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW
· Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM
· One-year clinical experience required.
· Two (2) years ED experience preferred for per diem positions.
Certification/Licensure:
· Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
· American Heart Association BLS required.
· American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
· American Heart Association PALS required within 6 months of hire.
· CPI initial for new hires to be completed within the introductory period, and renewal every 18 months.
· Cardiac dysrhythmia required within 6 months of hire.
· Critical Care Course within 1 year (or 2 years CC experience or current CEN).
· Completion of the Trauma Nurse Core Courses taught by the Emergency Nurses Association within 12 months of initial assignment or followed by a minimum of 8 contact hours of education every two (2) years in trauma assessment, intervention, and stabilization.
· National Certification in specialty area preferred.
